Query report
Ageing, site response time and query hot spots from a query listing.
Upload a query (DCF) listing exported from any EDC as CSV, TXT or XLSX. The portal finds the columns itself and builds the report that is usually put together by hand in Excel for the weekly status.
What the report shows
- Open queries by site and age: 0–7, 8–14, 15–30, 31–60 and over 60 days since opening, and each site's oldest query.
- Answered but not closed: what waits for the data manager, and for how many days.
- Site speed: median days from opening to answer and to closure.
- Hot spots: forms and fields with the most queries, subjects with the most open queries. Many queries on one field at every site usually mean an unclear CRF question, an unclear completion guideline or an edit check that fires too often. At one site, a training need.
Which columns are needed
Only the opening date is required. The rest helps: site, subject, status, answer and closing dates, visit, form, field, text. The portal recognises the column names of Rave, InForm, Vault, Viedoc, REDCap, OpenClinica, Castor and Russian names. If a column is not found, type its name under "Report date and columns".
Statuses are reduced to five: open, answered, closed, cancelled and other. Without a status column, the status comes from the dates: a closing date means closed, an answer date means answered. Unknown statuses are listed separately.
Ages are counted on the report date. Usually that is the export date, not today.
Excel report
Sheets: summary by site, all open queries from the oldest, answered and not closed, forms and fields, and a sheet per site with its open and answered queries, ready to send to the CRA or the site. Before sending, check that the query texts hold no personal data.
Try it
Example files: rave_queries.csv. A made-up query listing in the Rave layout, 240 queries over several sites. Upload it as is: the columns are recognised without any setting.
